Tammy has a passion for
empowering individuals to live a healthier lifestyle. Diet and
exercise play such an important role in the way we feel both
physically, mentally and in our overall health. Tammy has worked
in the health-care and fitness industries for over 20 years and
has witnessed first hand the effects that being overweight and
de-conditioned can have on ones health. Such conditions as
diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease can be
linked to poor diet and lack of exercise. This sparks her
passion for sharing proven strategies in working out smart for
optimal results and living a healthier lifestyle. |
Trainer's Bio
I began my career as an Registered Nurse in 1987 and have worked
in trauma critical care, as well as, as a product consultant and
critical care educator for a medical manufacturer. I have
simultaneously worked in the fitness industry for the past 15
years assisting individuals in successfully achieving their
fitness goals.
Fifteen years ago, I personally experienced a weight gain of
over 40 pounds when I was pregnant with my son. Although I was
fit prior to my pregnancy, I had a difficult time in getting the
weight off, which was devastating to me. I educated myself and
implemented strategies into my personal weight loss program that
proved to be very successful. I found myself in the best shape
that I had ever been in and thus fitness became a passion and a
lifestyle for me. I wanted to share my knowledge with others so
I became a certified personal trainer through NASM. Seeing
similar results in my clients based on what I was practicing and
teaching only furthered my cause.
I can show you how to develop a personal roadmap to attain such
goals as weight loss, muscle definition and toning, strength and
endurance, recovery status post injury or surgery, or how to use
exercise and diet as an excellent stress management tool. I am
very adept in developing programs for clients with pre-existing
health conditions such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular
disease, diabetes etc. and I enthusiastically provide coaching
and encouragement along the journey. |
